For some of us, “growing up Gen X” means latchkey afternoons, riding bikes until the streetlights came on, and TV that you couldn’t pause.

For others it might be:

MTV in the background all the time
Parents who were rarely home or very strict
School life in the 70s, 80s, or early 90s
Hanging out at the mall, arcade, or record store
